Old Cotton Furoshiki
A lovely old lightweight cotton furoshiki wrapping cloth. The karagusa (Chinese grass) design is very common on cotton furoshiki , though more typically on a green background. This is the kind of cloth that up until the 60s or 70s was used in Japan for shopping or carrying and storing everyday goods. It has a few small marks and holes but is generally in good condition. The ends have been hemmed by hand. Approx 86cm x 88cm. Mid 20th century.
