1960s/70s Wool Selection
Six pieces of wool kimono fabric each approx 36cm x 50 cm. Please note that these aren't soft wools and the yellow and orange pieces, which are woven rather than printed, are quite stiff. Customers sometimes mistake these wools for cotton and they definitely would be easy to combine in quilting projects. Contact me if you're interested in longer lengths of any of these.
Wool kimonos were common around the 1960s and 70s and so often come in bright bold colours and designs like this. Wool wasn't considered suitable for formal kimonos so as the kimono became less popular for everyday wear wool kimonos stopped being made.
