Antique Tailor's Knife
As western culture spread in Japan in the second half of the 19th century more and more men (more than women) began wearing western clothing and tailor shops became a thing. This tailor's knife does not have any inscriptions but came with a fragment of the original packaging that dates it to Meiji32 (1899) . I have only been able to find a couple of similar knives online so I think it might be quite rare. A beautiful object to look at and hold and it still cuts fabric very well!
