Antique Wooden Comb Set

This is a rare unused set of boxwood combs used for creating traditional Japanese hairstyles.  These were used to arrange the hair - not as decoration.  and the very fine tooth comb in the bottom right hand corner is actually a nit comb! They're still stitched on to the velour base of the box.  The box measures 29 x 24.5 x 2.5cm. The box itself is quite shabby with some tears, marks and insect damage but the combs are pristine and  make a stunning display piece.
