Daruma Cotton Thread

This is sold as a general purpose thread for  repairs etc. It's very similar to a traditional Japanese  basting thread though maybe a bit stronger.   It's labelled in Japanese   'Daruma Gas Thread  Tokyo'   because apparently it's made smooth by burning the fluff off with gas firing. I can't quite picture that - but anyway... it is very smooth!   It's 100% cotton  18g skein. It doesn't give a length but I think there would be 100m or more.  It could be used for very fine sashiko, boro, slow stitching etc.   Price is for one skein  - please choose black or white.
