Hand Painted Modern Obi Zuan Design (2)

Original hand painted design (zuan) for a modern obi.  This is  painted on paper and is glued on to the backing sheet at one end.  There is a small crease and stain in one corner. It measures 34cm x  85.5cm

Zuan designs  were the original designs for  textile workshops and sometimes come with grid marks, corrections and annotations.  This particular one came in a collection of modern obi designs . It has no annotations  and is signed GS.   A unique work of art and perfect to frame.  Late 20th century.
