Old Brass School Uniform Buttons (2)
Eleven kabuse ('cover') buttons from a boys high school gakuran school uniform. These are hollow, lightweight and are 2cm in diameter. The school motif is a wreath design with the character 高 for 'high' . This style of uniform was based on Prussian military uniforms and hasn't really changed since the early 20th century (though blazers have become more common in recent years). These buttons don't look very old and I'm guessing they date from the late 20th century.
