Old Wooden Itomaki

These old wooden itomaki thread bobbins still have thread on them  - and one still has a needle tucked into the thread. Two with cotton , two with silk and one with silk and a fine metallic thread.  These are very typical of  simple wooden bobbins that were  used for hand sewing in Japan and date from the mid 20th century.
