Donsu is a damask weave that originated in China and has been used for centuries for tea ceremony bags, scroll backings etc. Traditionally it would be silk but I get a lot of blends and ones like this that I think is probably rayon. It's somewhere between a very soft dusky pink a pale taupe, with a pretty peony design. It has a lovely soft drape. It's wider than most donsu and measures 105cm x 3.3 m . Mid - late 20th century.
