Specialising in authentic cotton and silk Japanese textiles for quilters, textile artists, and collectors.
About Wafu Works
I’ve been selling vintage Japanese textiles, paper and antiques to quilters, artists and collectors since I returned from living in Japan in 1997, and I opened Wafu Works in 2001. I’m passionate about Japanese textiles and the history that they tell, especially about traditions of everyday household sewing and fabric re-use. My online shop offers a selection of unique curated bundles and individual items featuring authentic boro and sashiko fabrics, vintage kimono silks, antique quilting fabrics, and other Japanese craft supplies and treasures. Please enjoy!
I've re-opened my Kingston Beach shop now. At the moment the online shop is only accepting orders from within Australia but overseas customers are welcome to email me directly. Thank you for your understanding. Take care . Jan.
