Tsutsugaki Furoshiki

A  tsutsugaki hand-dyed  cotton furoshiki wrapping cloth.  This is a faded light indigo with a greenish tinge and an auspicious shochikubai (pine, bamboo, plum ) design.  There is inconsistent fading and some light marks which give it a warm rustic character, but is otherwise in good, sturdy condition. Handstitched.  74cm x 80cm.  Late 19th - early 20th century.
