Blue Donsu

Donsu  is a  damask weave that originated in China and has been used for centuries for tea ceremony bags, scroll backings etc.  Traditionally it would be silk  but I get a lot of  blends and ones like this that I think is probably rayon.  It's a lovely soft dusky blue and pink with a  floral (peony?) design. It has a lovely soft drape. It measures 20cm x 2m. I have this on a roll so contact me if you'd like a longer piece.   Mid - late 20th century.
