Tsutsu Cones

Five unused tsustu cones. The largest is 28cm long and 7.5cm in diameter, the other large one is only a little narrower. The smallest is approximately 15cm long and 4cm in diameter.  Tsutsu are  soaked in water and used like a piping bag  with a metal tip (sadly not included, sorry) for applying a rice paste resist in traditional  tsutsugaki ('tsutsu drawing') and yuzen dyeing.  They're made from thick washi treated with persimmon tannin  to prevent rotting (kakishibui) which gives them a rich, slightly glossy brown colour.  I would love to think that someone might be able to use these for their original purpose but otherwise they make simple, quirky  display pieces.
