Vintage Tailor's Pressing Ham

This  narrow tailor's ham has come from Japan but may have been  made elsewhere. There was a strong tradition of  western style tailoring from the late 19th century. These weren't  typically used for traditional Japanese garments.  It's a lovely object just as it is  but  is also very sturdy and still  usable. There are some tears in the padding.  The pad measures approx 6cm x 40cm.  Early - mid 20th century?
