A hand-dyed cotton furoshiki wrapping cloth. It has a half indigo half brown design with tsutsugaki (hand-drawn resist) chrysanthemums and a bamboo kamon crest. The corners have been reinforced with sashiko stitching before it was dyed. It's not in perfect condition - there is some fading, discolouration and one small hole - but lots of character! 78cm x 74cm Late 19th - early 20th century.
