Antique Indigo Sashiko Fabric

Traditionally sashiko was done on plain indigo dyed cotton like this. In the antique textile  trade this is called uraji or lining (lit. 'back fabric') presumably because it was also used to line work jackets etc,  but a lot of of the uraji I have has been futon cover fabric.  (I spend quite a lot of time defluffing it! )  This futon cover panel measures 35cm x 130cm and is in perfect condition apart from a little inconsistency in the colour.  Early 20th century.
