An antique koshimaki woman's wrap around undergarment. This is made from two panels of egasuri (picture ikat) indigo cotton - I'm not sure what the egasuri design is supposed to be. There's a striped panel for reinforcement when sitting and some patches and small holes. Koshimaki were often made from the remnants of other garments. These panels are were probably from an adult kimono or possibly a futon cover. It measures 67cm x 118cm. Early - mid 20th century.
