A collection of 56 original textile designs hand painted on paper, I think they're obi designs. They measure 32cm x 46 cm. These were working designs for a textile factory most likely in Kyoto and date from early - mid 20th century. About 5 of them have fine pencil grids marked on them. One has a tear and one has a small piece cut out of it. A beautiful and interesting relic of the Japanese textile industry - long before the design process went digital.
