Red Cotton Lining Fabric

Red cotton or silk linings were ubiquitous in pre-war kimonos. I always have unpicked remnants but rarely get unused bolts.  This is approximately 7.5 metres and is traditional kimono width of 35cm but has been cut from a wider bolt so doesn't have selvedges. It's a lightweight plain weave.  A touch of this red always gives a fresh lift to projects in classic indigo and white.  Mid 20th century
