Retro Wooden Souvenir Itomaki Bobbins

Itomaki  ('thread winder')  are traditional bobbins for keeping your  sewing  threads tidy and ready to use. They come in a variety of shapes and materials. These wooden souvenir ones  with inlaid  designs are quite unusual.  The text says "Arima' which is an onsen (hot spring resort) in Kobe.   They measure  65mm x  65mm. and come in their original plain box.   Mid 20th century.
