Vintage Sashiko Fabric (1)

Traditionally sashiko was done on plain indigo dyed antique cotton like this. This piece has  come from an old futon cover and dates from  early  - mid 20th century.  It's handwoven with a lovely rustic character and will be beautiful to stitch on. 35cm x 132cm
